Some Classical Music for Spring

All of Beethoven’s Symphonies

A tradition in some universities and colleges is to play all nine of Beethoven’s symphonies to celebrate the end of Finals Week.  This is the end of Finals Week where I teach, so enjoy!

Some Baroque Music for the Weekend

Mozart’s Requiem

In keeping with today’s theme–prayers for the dead–I’m posting Mozart’s masterpiece, the Requiem in D Minor as this weekend’s musical selection.

Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, for Halloween

Usually I post music on Fridays; but Halloween is upcoming, so I’m posting appropriate music every day until then.  The “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor”, by Bach, is one of my favorite classical pieces, quite without reference to its (modern) association with the creepy, macabre, and such.  Still, it’s now usually associated with such, so enjoy!
